RAILCARD SITE MAINTENANCE INFORMATION

Between 22:00 on Monday 25 March and 10:00 on Tuesday 26 March we’ll be carrying out essential system maintenance on the Railcard website.

 

During the maintenance period, certain things will be affected. You can find out what this means for you, and read our FAQs, below.

 

 

You will not be able to:

 

  • Access your Railcard account on the website (Manage my Railcard)
     
  • Buy digital Railcards on the website
     
  • Renew or replace digital Railcards on the website
     
  • Buy, renew or replace a physical Railcard
     
  • Browse the website
     
  • Request a new download code on the website
     
  • Access the Contact Us page (web form) to post a query or complaint
     
  • Get in touch with the Contact Centre, and Contact Centre advisors will not be able to access your account

 

You will be able to:

 

  • Access and display your existing Digital Railcard, as long as it has already been downloaded to your device
     
  • Download your digital Railcard if you already have a download code
     
  • Use your existing physical Railcard

 

In addition:

 

  • There won’t be any delay to you receiving a physical Railcard you have already ordered

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Can I travel with Railcard discounted tickets without being able to show a valid Railcard?

No. You must be able to show a valid Railcard on your journey when travelling using Railcard discounted tickets, as per the National Rail Conditions of Travel and the Railcard terms and conditions.

 

Can I download my digital Railcard if I already have a download code?

No. It will not be possible to download and display any Digital Railcards which have not been downloaded prior to the maintenance period.

 

Can I get in touch with the Contact Centre during the maintenance period?

No. The maintenance window will be outside of Contact Centre opening hours (07:00 to 22:00).

 

Can Contact Centre advisors access my Railcard account during the maintenance period?

No. The maintenance window will be outside of Contact Centre opening hours (07:00 to 22:00).

 

Can I access and display my existing digital Railcard?

Yes. If you already have your digital Railcard stored on the Railcard app, you will be able to access and display it during the maintenance period.

 

Can I access my Railcard account via the website?

No. The website will not be available to access your account during the maintenance period. 

 

Can I purchase Railcards via the website?

No. You will not be able to purchase a Railcard on the railcard.co.uk website during the maintenance period. 

 

Can I renew or replace Railcards via the website?

No. You will not be able to renew a Railcard you purchased on the railcard.co.uk website during the maintenance period. 

 

Can I request a new download code from the website?

No. You will not be able to request a new download code during the maintenance period. If possible, please do this before the scheduled maintenance takes place.

 

Can I browse the website? 

No. The Railcard website will not be available during the maintenance period.
