What is a Two Together Railcard?


When you travel together, you save together. Get a Two Together Railcard for just £35 and save 1/3 on most adult train tickets across Great Britain when you travel as a pair.

Whether it’s with a partner or friend, the Two Together Railcard is perfect for everyday trips and weekend getaways for pairs who regularly travel together.

*Annual saving is based on the average savings made by combined Railcard holders between April 2025 and March 2026, excluding price of Railcard.

  • A Two Together Railcard is just £35 for 2 people. That’s only £17.50 per person!

Am I eligible for a Two Together Railcard?


You can get a Two Together Railcard if both people are aged 16 and over. You must travel together on the same journey to enjoy discounted tickets with your Two Together Railcard.

The Two Together Railcard is perfect for:

What travel discounts can I get with a Two Together Railcard?

  • Train journeys from 9:30am, Monday to Friday. Travel at any time on weekends and public holidays

  • Ticket types included:

    • Standard and First Class Anytime (Day, Single, or Return)

    • Standard and First Class Off-Peak (Day, Single, or Return)

    • Standard and First Class Super Off-Peak (Day, Single, or Return)

    • Standard and First Class Advance

  • In and around London:

    • Anytime Day Travelcards when bought as part of your ticket from outside London Zones 1 to 9 (subject to minimum fare of £23.60)

    • Gatwick Express, Stansted Express and Heathrow Express

  • Caledonian Sleeper tickets – seated tickets only

  • PlusBus day tickets

  • Combined rail to sea journeys:

    • some rail/sea journeys with Wightlink and Red Funnel Ferries to stations on the Isle of Wight

    • Hovertravel services to and from Ryde Hoverport

    • discount is only available on tickets as part of a journey from/to a National Rail station or on combined rail/sea journeys from/to Ryde Hoverport

  • Rover tickets and Ranger tickets

How to buy your Two Together Railcard

Anyone aged 16 or over can buy a Two Together Railcard. There are no eligibility criteria.


You will need to provide a passport-style photo of yourself and the other named card holder.

To buy online, visit the Two Together Railcard sales page and follow the instructions on screen. You will need to provide a passport-style photo of yourself and the other named card holder.


For a digital Railcard

Once your online payment has been successful you will receive an email confirmation and acknowledgement of your application number (this confirmation cannot be used to buy discounted tickets).


We will then send you another email with an activation link to download your Railcard to the Railcard app. 


For a physical Railcard

  • Please allow up to 10 days for standard delivery

  • Special Delivery orders placed before 5pm, Monday to Thursday, are delivered within 2 days

  • Special Delivery orders placed before 11am, Friday to Sunday, are delivered within 3 days

To buy your Two Together Railcard at a station, you will need to download and complete a Railcard application form and go to any staffed station ticket office to apply in person.


You will need to provide a passport-style photo of yourself and the other named card holder.
