Changes to the Validity of the 16-17 Saver


From Monday 17 August 2026, the 16–17 Saver will give students who turn 18 during their academic year 50% off rail travel for a full year from the date of purchase.

This is a change from the current validity, where a 16-17 Saver is valid for 1 year or until the cardholder turns 18.

After 17 August all 16-17 Savers will be valid for 1 year from date of purchase.
